December 2023, Fashion Alliance Network Inc (FAN) was officially established as anonprofit organization, founded byMartu E. Freeman-Parker, with co-foundersDanelle Taylor,Dominique Melul, andNole Marlin. Together,they envisionedan organization dedicated to fostering creativity and driving economic growth in urbancities. FAN was created to empower local fashion designers by providing access toresources, professional opportunities, and a strong platform for visibility.

From its inception, FAN positioned itself as more than a traditional fashion collective.The organization launched as a forward-thinking initiative committed toadvancingsustainable fashion practices, while curating programming that blendscreativity, innovation, and community impact. Its early activities includedfashionshows, workshops, business development seminars, and community engagementinitiatives, each designed to educate, inspire, and connect.
